Though such a holy building was desecrated and vandalized, the temple did not lose its value from this instance. I am sure the people of Logan, Utah, do not look upon the temple and think less of it for being marred. In fact, those in Logan did not turn away from the temple and see it as unholy, lost, and forsaken. Instead, the temple was repaired, reopened, and revisited. I was sad and exhausted and in need of some light. I kept thinking how much I just needed a hug from someone who understood me and what I was going through, and wouldn’t tell me “It’s not a big deal” but would instead listen and love me.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThat’s when I felt my heart yearn for Heavenly Mother. As I started to sketch the spheres for the faces I consciously drew the figure on the left much smaller because she was growing into herself and still needed guidance and direction. In our discussion, my mother mentioned the woman had repeatedly astonished her doctors as she was living beyond the timelines her doctors had for her. Because of this, she’s begun to call herself “a walking miracle”.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhen my mom stated this, I felt a pang in my soul. Here I’d been praying to see a miracle in my own life, \u0026amp; I was blind to the miracle in the life of another. God was ministering unto this woman, blessing her life with additional life, literally exceeding the expectations of Science, \u0026amp; I was oblivious to it.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAs I realized this, my soul was humbled \u0026amp; began to cry.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSeveral hours had passed on since this experience \u0026amp; I now sat reflecting on the events of the year. In pondering, I was reminded of the cancer diagnosis of the second woman. My mom. This summer I learned the heartbreaking news that cancer plagued the life of my sweet mother. The diagnosis was traumatic for me. I couldn’t possibly imagine life without this amazing woman who so selflessly raised me.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTwo weeks ago, my mother messaged my husband \u0026amp; I to tell us she had her 3-month check-up \u0026amp; had no signs of cancer. I celebrated to hear this news; however, until this moment, I’d not stopped to consider this joyous news a miracle of God.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOh, how I feel like Peter. I may not have denied Christ thrice; however, it has taken until today to realize I have overlooked Him twice. This is because they have learned to work in harmony \u0026amp; pull in unison.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eImagine what we can accomplish if we likewise yoke ourselves with Christ.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBecause Christ knows us personally, He can match His strength to ours, making it possible for us to accomplish more than we could on our own. The individual had recently miscarried and lost a grandmother. Two Sundays ago, I painfully \u0026amp; patiently grimaced through the meeting on the couch in the foyer. As the sacrament was blessed, I turned my thoughts to the Savior \u0026amp; eagerly awaited my opportunity to partake. No one came out into the foyer. Shortly thereafter, the water was blessed, \u0026amp; I knew I had missed my opportunity.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eHurt that my sacrifice of wincing through the pain hadn’t allowed me to partake of the sacrament, I began to cry. Was my effort not enough?\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eA small sacrament is held weekly at my facility for the patients. Standing before him in my scrubs, pink sneakers, and yellow mask, I contemplated kneeling or bowing to show respect for the ordinance.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAfter partaking, the Spirit touched me. I had literally come to the body of the Savior to partake of his soul-saving sacrifice. It was a private bathroom, and before I left its unwelcoming walls to face the turmoil beyond its pushbutton lock, I knelt. Unconventional as it was to commune with the Father of my soul in the dismal quarters of an untidy public restroom, I felt clarity as I lowered my head, folded my arms, and shared my concerns and worries with Father in Heaven. I felt heard, understood, and loved.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eJust as Heavenly Father was acutely aware of Christ as He entered into the world in the very squalor of Bethlehem, He was aware of me. An imperfect girl who struggles to consistently read her scriptures and who loses her temper more than she’d like to admit. Despite my many downfalls, imperfections, and my kneeling on the ceramic floor of a restroom, He heard me. He was aware, and He so lovingly enveloped me with the reassurance that He knew. Christ’s light slows as to approaches us and bends to pass through our tears, filtering our pains, trials, and infirmities.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDuring this Holy and Sacred process the Savior's light, paired with our tears, produces a transformation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChrist’s infinite light expands when paired with our tears to produce a beautiful ray, an arc of hope.
