"Year of Jesus" Print
This is a detailed print of my original ink drawing created for Emily Belle Freeman and David Butler’s podcast "Don’t Miss This" for the 2023 year.
Woven into the fabric of the Savior's robe are fifty-two names of Christ. Each name serves as a constant reminder of our Savior’s message of hope and love.
When I was tasked to create the piece, Emily and David informed me they preferred a drawing of Christ that was faceless and was drawn similarly to my "He Lives" piece. With their vision in mind, I worked diligently to develop a sketch of Christ that embodied Him.
I intentionally drew Christ with His hand on His heart and His right hand outstretched to symbolize His immense love for each of us and His ever-welcoming nature.
I decided to place the names of Christ within the garment draped around His shoulders to symbolize the mantel He carries as our Savior who has willingly and so selflessly taken His title upon Himself on our behalf.
